Niels Alpert is a Director of Photography based in New York City.

Early in his career, he worked as a lighting designer for legendary photographers such as Herb Ritts, Steven Klein and Philip-Lorca diCorcia on some of their most iconic images.

He speaks excellent French, decent Russian and barely acceptable Spanish. He is also passionate about yoga, mid-century furniture and cooking the perfect steak.
